Spring clean up Day Coca‑Cola «World without waste»

Kyiv, 20th of April 2019 — Spring clean up Day Coca‑Cola «World without waste» took place at one time in 25 Ukrainian cities and united 1044 volunteers.

Eco-teams with company`s employees and their relatives all over the country cleaned-up parks and watersides in their cities at that day. During several hours of joint work participants collected and sorted 12,5 tons of waste, cleaned 23 recreational zones all over Ukraine, in Lutsk and Chernivtsi volunteers fitted out the territories of three orphans.

Employees of the Kyiv branch and Head office cleaned-up recreational zone of Desenka river coast in Kyiv. Volunteers cleaned territory over 6000 m2 and collected about 4 tons of waste, which was sorted and sent for recycling. In the capital the partner supermarket chain BILLA and children from the supported by company orphanage "Nadiya" joined the environmental initiative. Except the cleaning up participants also were engaged in photo challenge, eco-quest, master class in making crafts from plastic bottles, as well there was eco-creativity workshop for children.

It should be noted that this environmental initiative the company started in 2006 and the sixth year the action takes place as a national event. For all these years company`s volunteers collected hundreds tons of waste, which was sorted and recycled. Let us remind that Coca‑Cola made a global commitment until 2030 to recycle the same amount of packaging that the company delivers to the market.
