December 12, 2018, Kiev — Coca‑Cola Beverages Ukraine launched a new PET line at a plant in the Kyiv region. The production capacity of the line is 42,000 bottles per hour. The project was implemented for 2.5 months, the volume of investments in the project is 10.5 million euros.
A new stage of Youth Empowered Program has been launched in Ukraine. The purpose of the project is to support young people in career guidance and entering high schools, thus, creating a better future for themselves. In the 2018-2019 academic year, the Youth Empowered project covers 15 boarding schools in 9 regions of Ukraine. 1200 school graduates participate in the Program.
Coca‑Cola Beverages Ukraine published the Sustainability report for 2017 year, which demonstrates company progress in achievement of the commitments in the field of environmental protection, satisfaction of consumer needs, social responsibility and corporate governance. The report was prepared in compliance with a new version of GRI Standards and became the 6th public non-financial report of the company.
Coca‑Cola Beverages Ukraine received the main award — "Amber Star" as a result of the 21st International Tasting Contest. The company receives for the third time the "Amber Star", and this is the first time in the history of the contest, when one manufacturer receives this prestigious award three times. This year the company was awarded for the highest in Ukraine increase in the volume of production of soft drinks in 2017.
EdCamp Ukraine is a grand annual event for Ukrainian teachers that traditionally takes place in Kharkiv. This year, about a thousand of teachers from all over Ukraine and 16 other countries came to the two-day event. Experts shared their experience and learned about new methods of teaching and upbringing of modern youth.
On March 29, 2018, in the framework of the XVI International PR Festival, the awarding ceremony of the winners of the All-Ukrainian Reputation Management Ranking "Reputation ACTIVists" took place. Coca‑Cola became the winner in the nomination – Sustainable corporate reputation management.
Yesterday awarding ceremony of the best philanthropists within the National Contest "Charitable Ukraine 2017" was celebrated. Coca‑Cola Beverages Ukraine was named third-place winner in the "Corporate Charity" nomination. There were 1054 applications that competed in 21 nominations.
Four influential employer branding rankings were published in Ukraine and one – in Moldova at the year-end. Each of them recognized the efforts Coca‑Cola HBC is taking to create the best workplace.
